Herbert F. Bense, 90 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away October 15, 2011. He was born in Ruma, IL, the son of the late Hermann and Theresia (Miller) Bense. He had worked at Union Electric, St. Louis, MO and had been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL , and VFW Post 6368, Dupo, IL . Herb served as an Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was married to the late Ida (Waller) Bense. They were married on April 3, 1948, at E. St. Louis, IL. She had passed away January 8, 2004.
