Helen Mae H. Steahle, 91 years, of Columbia, IL, and formerly Cahokia, IL, passed away on January 15, 2019 at , Columbia, IL. She was born March 18, 1927, in St. Louis, MO. She was married to the late Robert G. Steahle, Sr. They were married April 30, 1955, in St. Louis, MO. He had passed away November 12, 2005.
Helen was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Cahokia, IL.
Surviving are her son, Robert G. Steahle, Jr. of Columbia, IL; grandchild, Megan M. Steahle of House Springs, MO; great-grandchildren, Addison Mae Steahle, and Owen Steahle; brother, Eugene Ringling of Clarksville, MO, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents Charles and Margaret S., nee Schleper, Ringling; grandchild, Mathew J. Steahle; and a brother, Charles Ringling; and sister, Marie Krisch.
Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2019, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and on Tuesday, January 22, 9:00 am - 9:45 am, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 116 Church St., Cahokia, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held, Tuesday January 22, 10:00 am, at the Church, with Fr. Linus Umoren C.M., officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
