Helen Louise Ford's Obituary
Helen Louise Ford, 80 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at de Greeff Hospice House in Concord, MO. She was born October 16, 1942, in Buffalo, MO.
Louise was a retired hairstylist from Great Clips. She was a strong woman of faith and a member of the First Baptist Church in Waterloo, IL. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafts. Louise also made blankets for Nurses for Newborns.
Surviving are her children, Dwight Honeycutt, Greg Ford, Kathryn (John) Rivera, Debbie Sanna, and Marion (Louie) Chartrand, her grandchildren, Kathryn Werner, Kyle Guinan, Elizabeth (Jeff) Wiethop, Ben (Paige Vallerius) Chartrand, Sam Chartrand, Ashley, Nate, Frankie and Nick, her great-grandchildren, Chase Werner and Macey Chartrand, along with brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece & nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ford, her parents, John Boyd and Marion Hopkins, nee Mowatt, Martin, and her grandson, Christopher Ford.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL, and on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 9:00 am - 9:30 am at the First Baptist Church of Waterloo, IL. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, July 28, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Waterloo, IL, with Rev. Matt Whitaker, officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to First Baptist Church of Waterloo 320 Covington, Waterloo, IL 62298 or Songs 4 Soldiers, P.O. Box 1165, Columbia, IL. 62236. Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
