Helen L Dieckman's Obituary
Helen L. Dieckman, 79, of Dupo, born April 25, 1935 in Carrsville, KY., passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Mrs. Dieckman retired from the Village of Dupo as a Secretary after 17 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of TOPS. She also prepared income taxes for years and loved sewing.
Mrs. Dieckman was preceded in death by her husband, William Virgil Dieckman, her parents, Ernest O’Dell & Sarah Elizabeth, nee Riley, Carr and her brother, Bill Carr.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Rose) Dieckman of Glen Carbon, Ill., her daughter, Kathi (Tony) Vaughn of Dupo, Ill., her son, Kevin (Chris) Dieckman of Dupo, Ill., her grandchildren, Nathaniel Stefanski, Joshua Stefanski, Christina (Nick) Keller, Amy Meadows, Sara (Don) Goeglein, Jeff Meadows and Jessica (Louis) Cantu, her sisters, Linda Rick, Lorna English & Gail Powell, and her brother, Bob (Glenda) Carr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with Rev. Don Mitchell, officiating.
Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
