Expressing my greatest sympathy to Mike, Ronnie, and Patty. Harvey was my Godfather, whom I respected for so many years and whose name I have carried thru my life. I too was lucky to have flown with “uncle” Harvey in his white knuckle plane, an experience I remember like yesterday. I will always remember my Godfather for his great smile and laughter. Rest In Peace.
James Harvey Stumpf.

To the Stumpf family I would like to express my condolences for your loss. I have Harvey to thank for my first airplane ride when I was 16 that all these years later, I still remember fondly with what is referred to as the “Hundred Dollar Hamburger “. We flew to Kentucky dam lake, had lunch, and came back home. He helped me fuel my love for aviation to this day that I will always cherish. Clear skies and a tailwinds to you Harvey…
Sincerely,
David Gummersheimer
Harvey, Uhle Sackman, Herman Wappen and I bought a Piper Cherokee 180 aircraft together in the late 60s N8730W which was hangered at what became Sackman Field. We all flew from time to time but when the 4 of us went on a cross country it was always a adventure to be fondly remembered. Harvey you will certainly be missed. God bless and Harvey you don’t have to use the radio to get into Heaven . 😢❤️
