Harvey T. Buettner, 90 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Columbia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Columbia, IL. He was born in Columbia, IL, the son of the late Edward and Hilda (Johanning) Buettner. He had been the owner and operator of Buettner Construction Company, and Engineered Steel Buildings, Columbia, IL. Harvey had been a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL (Past Consistory Member), Columbia Rotary (Past President), American Legion Post 581 (Past Commander and Drill Team Member), Carpenters Local 1997 (Past President), St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Past Board Member), Waterloo Country Club (Past Board Member), and the 321st Engineer Battalion Reunion Group (Past President). He served in the U.S. Army, and was a Veteran of the World War II. He was married to the late Helen (Rodemich) Buettner. They were married on June 11, 1950, in Millstadt, IL. She passed away January 29, 2003.
