Harry was preceded in death by his parents: Harry B. & Pauline, nee Brenke, Whelan Sr., his brother: William Whelan and sisters: Freida Klein and Louise Westhoff, his father-in-law: James E. Crain, and his beloved dog, Skoal. Harry is survived by his wife: Linda, nee Crain, Whelan, whom he loved and married on October 23, 1976 of Millstadt, IL., his mother-in-law: Margie Crain, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Homer (Betty) Duncan, he is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews and their husbands and wives, many grand nieces and nephews, many great grand nieces and nephews and other relatives & friends. Harry served in WWII in the Army Air Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses.
