Harland Dean Sanders Jr.'s Obituary
Harland Dean Sanders Jr., 63 years of Granite City, IL., passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born August 13, 1960, in East St. Louis, IL.
Dean worked as a forklift driver for Permalok in Ferguson, MO. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. Dean was of the Baptist faith and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years whom he married on June 29, 2002, Christina Sanders, nee Osborn, his son, Collin Sanders, his daughter, Lauren (Joe) Kilzer, his sisters, Lisa Tinker and Tamara "Tammy" Sanders, his grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan, Madison and Dominick, his aunt & uncle, Bonnie and Jake Dell, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Harland Dean and Betty R., nee Dell, Sanders Sr., and his brother-in-law, Alan "Tink" Tinker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL, There will be a time of reflection beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Jim Jarvis, officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Charity of Donor's Choice. Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home.
