Guyla Reichert was born in DuQuoin, Illinois, daughter of the late Carlie R. and Virginia M. (O'Keefe) Hutchings. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Columbia, IL, Prairie du Rocher Saddle Club, and a Fort Chartres volunteer. She was the wife of Dean Reichert. They were married on June 19, 1965.
