Glenda M. Vieregge's Obituary
Glenda M. Vieregge, 81 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on December 19, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Town and Country, MO. She was born October 5, 1936, in Salem, MO. She was married to Delbert L. Vieregge, who survives her. They were married September 14, 1957, in St. Louis, MO.
Glenda was a retired registered nurse, having graduated from the Missouri Baptist School of Nursing, St. Louis, MO. She had worked at St. Mary's Hospital, East St. Louis, IL, and Jefferson Barracks Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL.
Surviving are her daughter, Ramona (Ron) Newton of Columbia, IL; son, Mark Vieregge of Columbia, IL; two grandchildren, Lindsay Newton and David Newton; sister, Janet Farace of Rolla, MO; brother, Albert 'Joe' W. Lough of Republic, MO, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mildred, nee Gant, Lough.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 23, 2017, 9:30 am - 11:00 am, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, at the church, with Pastor Steven Theiss, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
