Gertrude M Meehan's Obituary
Gertrude M. Meehan, 92 of Nashville, Ill., of Millstadt, Ill., passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at Washington County Extended Care in Nashville, Ill.
Mrs. Meehan was born March 9, 1924, to Peter and Amanda (Barczewski) Liszewski in Perry County, Ill.
She married Charles William (Bill) Meehan on August 30, 1947.
She was an accountant and retired from Lincoln, a division of McNeil, St. Louis, MO. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, playing cards and time with family and friends.
Mrs. Meehan was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill.
Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Prusacki of DuQuoin, Ill., one brother, John Liszewski and wife, Geraldine of DuBois, Ill, one brother-in-law, John Wilga of Troy, MO., one step-son, William Meehan, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Marion and wife Elizabeth Liszewski of St. Louis, MO., Pete and wife Rita Liszewski of Radom, Ill., sisters, Marle Wilga of Troy, MO., Pauline and Elizabeth Liszewski of DuBois, Ill., two brothers-in-laws, Ralph Prusacki of DuQuoin, Ill. & Mike Meehan, sister-in-law, Marie Sale and step-children, Robert & Carolyn Meehan.
Memorials may be made in the form of Masses and to St. James School in Millstadt, Ill., and will be accepted at Leesman Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill.
Funeral Mass will be on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill., with Monsignor Marvin Volk, officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, Ill.
