Geraldine Leesman's Obituary
Geraldine Leesman, nee Miller, 71 of Atlanta, IL., born May 29, 1944 in Lincoln, IL., passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her residence after a very long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Mrs. Leesman was a member of Atlanta United Methodist Church in Atlanta, IL. She had owned and operated a daycare in her home for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald & Electa Ann, nee Kindred, Miller and her sister, Joanne Rone.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Russell L. Leesman, her sons, Bruce E. (Gina Hughes) Leesman of Dupo, IL., Greg A. (Kelli) Leesman of Waterloo, IL., her grandchildren, Nick & Olivia, her sister, Mary (Cliff) Bateman of Travelers Rest, SC., her brother, Tom (Gale) Miller of Atlanta, IL., her brother-in-law, Herb Rone of Beaver Dam, KY. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad, Atlanta Fire Department or Safe Haven Hospice.
There will be a private graveside service in Atlanta Cemetery at her request.
