Gerald R. Erickson, 80 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Garden Place of Columbia, Columbia, IL. He was born in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Helmer and Signe (Tengman) Erickson.
Mr. Erickson was a career military civil servant, having served in the Navy during the Korean conflict, the Army during the Vietnam War, and later as a Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was a long-time and proud volunteer at the James S. McDonnell U.S.O. at Lambert International Airport, St. Louis, MO.
He was married to the late Shirley (Anderson) Erickson. She had passed away in 1999.Services
