Georgia Lee Horn's Obituary
Georgia Lee Horn, nee Wheatley, 80 of Dupo, Ill., born May 12, 1935 in Wood River Township, Ill., passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis, MO.
Georgia retired as a Principal at Dupo Grade School. She was also a former member of the Dupo School District 196 School Board, a member of the Lions Club, VFW and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, as well as being a very active member of the Dupo Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Horn, and her parents, George W. and Helen, nee Deck, Wheatley.
She is survived by her sons, David Horn, Michael (Mary) Horn, Jeff (Sandy) Horn, sisters Helen McClanahan, and Johnna (Mack) Sanders, her brother, Robert (Pat) Wheatley, grandchildren, Jason Horn, Julie Horn, Samantha (Bill) Carner, Kate Horn, Leah Horn, great-granchildren, Amya Ayers, Colten and Lyla Carner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis, MO.
Visitation: Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Bob Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
