Georganne Louise Conrad's Obituary
Georganne Louise Conrad, 99 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, MO. She was born in St. Marie, IL, the daughter of the late John J. and Louise M. (Spitzer) Reis. She was married to the late Roy P. Conrad. They were married on December 26, 1936. He had passed away August 14, 1984. Georganne, along with her husband Roy, were the owners and operators of the Monroe County Clarion, and the Columbia Star newspapers. She retired as a Registered Nurse from the Monroe County Nursing Home in 1976. She was the first President of the Gibault Mother's Club, and was named an Honorary Gibault Graduate, member of the Immaculate Conception Altar Sodality, Daughters of Isabella - Bishop Zuroweste Circle #886, St. Louis University School of Nursing Alumni - Class of 1934, Columbia Gymnastic Assoc.
