Genevieve Catherine Moeller's Obituary
Genevieve Catherine Moeller, nee Deterding, 89, of Red Bud, Ill., born April 4, 1927 in Prairie du Rocher, Ill., passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, Ill.
Mrs. Moeller last worked at the Laundromat in Red Bud, Ill. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Ill. & the VFW Post 6632 Ladies Auxiliary in Red Bud, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Mary, nee Fausz, Deterding, her sisters, Hilda Ellner & Fern Deterding, her brothers, Ray Deterding, Louis “Bud” Deterding, Harold Deterding, Melvin Deterding & Paul Deterding.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Alvin E. Moeller, her daughter, Faye (Gary) Schwartzkopf, her son, Ronald (Barb) Moeller, her grandchildren, Ben (Jill) Schwartzkopf, Lanie (Andy) Pensoneau, Mac (Rebecca) Moeller, Micah (Angie) Moeller & Miranda (Travis) Steinning, her sisters, Doris Koch & Audrey (Don) DuFrenne. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Ill.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill., and on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Ill.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Ill., with Rev. Mark Nebel & Rev. Russell Koen, officiating.
Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Red Bud, Ill.
