Geneva E. Stellhorn's Obituary
Geneva E. Stellhorn, 89 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away on November 15, 2020 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, IL. She was born April 9, 1931, in Ruma, IL.
Geneva was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in (Prairie) Red Bud, IL. She was retired from Singer in Red Bud, IL. After retirement she enjoyed cleaning people's houses and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her two daughters, Bonnie (Gerald) Hitzemann and Lynnette Stellhorn; her four Grandsons, Derek Stellhorn, Christopher (Beth) Hitzemann, Andrew Hitzemann and Joseph Barbeau; her two granddaughters, Jill (John) Sanders and Nicole (Jim French) Dwyer; her great-grandchildren, Ella, Megan, Harley, Melissa (Mark), Konnor, Zoey, Xavier, Jaxson and Evan, her sister Marlene Deterding, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Stellhorn whom she married on May 21, 1950, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ruma, IL. and he died on May 21, 2013., her sons, Darryl Stellhorn Karl Stellhorn, her daughter, Becky Stellhorn, her grandson Devin Stellhorn, her parents, Henry and Mary Hanebutt, her brothers, Elroy Hanebutt, Melvin Hanebutt, Roland Hanebutt and Firman Hanebutt, her sisters Leoneda Walker and Verna Hennrich, her sister-in-law Emily Hanebutt.
Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic, private family services will be held with interment in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church (Prairie) Red Bud, IL.
