Geneva B. Rehg's Obituary
Geneva B. Rehg, 93, passed from this life on October 4, 2018. Geneva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was always central in her life.
In 1943, she married the love of her life, Reuben Rehg, and together they raised a daughter and son until Reuben’s death in 1967. Geneva lived most of her life in Millstadt, IL where she was active in her children’s school, Zion church and civic activities. For 30 years, she was a teller at 1st National Bank in Millstadt and enjoyed serving many of her friends and neighbors. Geneva also loved to travel, and was fortunate to travel extensively in the USA, Europe and Asia during her lifetime.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Rehg; parents, Levi and Cornelia nee Vogt Muskopf; brothers Kenneth and Pete Muskopf; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gustav and Lena Rehg; son-in law, Robert R Leppard.
Geneva is survived by daughter Betty Leppard of O’Fallon, IL, and son, Jon W. (Sharon) Rehg of Swansea, IL; Four grandchildren, Steven R. (Lisa) Leppard of Maple Valley, WA, Ellen (Michael) Zimmerman of O’Fallon, IL, Kristin(Eduardo) Reina of Kirkwood, MO and Michael (Pam) Rehg of O’Fallon, IL; Bonus grandchildren, Christina Root and Ange Christensen; Great-Grandchildren Allison and Alexis Patch, Collin Leppard, Emily and Charlotte Reina, Roman and Avery Rehg; Bonus great-grandchildren, Claire Zimmerman, Will and Reese Root, Keegan, Kennedy and Korben Christensen, and nieces, nephews, God children, cousins and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St.Paul United Church of Christ (Belleville) or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Visitation: Family and friends may call Friday, October 19th from noon until 2:00pm at Leesman Funeral Home, 7 East Mill St, Millstadt, IL
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm following visitation with Rev.Michelle Torigian, Sr. Pastor of St Paul UCC officiating.
Burial will be in Mount evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt.
