Gene O'Farrell, 91 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Columbia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Columbia, IL. He was born in Gillette, WY, the son of the late Patrick and Mary E. (McFadden) O'Farrell. Gene was retired from civil service, St. Louis, MO, where he had worked as a cataloger, and had been a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. Gene and his wife enjoyed ballroom dancing for many years together. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was married to Mary Ellen (Stanton) O'Farrell, who survives him. They were married on June 8, 1957 in Clayton, MO.
