Gary D. Marquis' Obituary
Gary D. Marquis, 67 years of Cahokia, IL, passed away on May 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 27, 1951, in Erick, Oklahoma.
Gary was an aviation tech for General Dynamics Gulfstream formerly Mid Coast Aviation at Parks Airport having worked there for the past 30 years. Gary grew to love the St. Louis Cardinals and one of his greatest memories with his brother Doug was the 2011 World Series, game 2 against the Texas Rangers. He was an avid St. Louis Blues fan and he loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his life long love, Linda Hake, his father, Robert McKinnly Marquis and his brother, David Marquis.
Surviving are his mother, Kathryn Sue Marquis, his brother, Douglas (Sue) Marquis, his two nieces, Amanda Marquis and Christie Bryant, his nephew, Matthew Marquis, and James Hammet who Gary thought of as a son.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
