Frederick O. Frierdich's Obituary
Frederick O. “Fritz” Frierdich, 90, of Millstadt, Ill., born, October 17, 1924 in Belleville, Ill., passed away, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Fred was retired from Hunter Meat Packing Company and from a lifetime of farming. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill., the Millstadt VFW Post 7980 and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army in WW II. He made many friends as he and his brother Eugene sold produce from the back of their truck alongside of route 158 between Millstadt and Columbia.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, nee Mueller, Frierdich, his parents, Edward and Bertha, nee Hankammer, Frierdich, his brothers, Clemmons and Victor Frierdich and his sisters-in-law, Florine and Delores Frierdich.
Fred is survived by his two sons, Don (Mary) Frierdich and Bob (Mary Kay) Frierdich, four grandchildren, Tiffany (David) Wenge, Chad (Meghan) Frierdich, Ryan (Sara) Frierdich and Katie (Nate) House, ten great grandchildren, Kerrigan and Lane Wenge, Chase , Bryce and Maeci Frierdich, Emma, Sophia and Abby Frierdich, Sydney and Cash House, his brother, Eugene Frierdich, his sisters-in-law, Audrey Frierdich and Nancy Grace. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation: friends may call on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill., and from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill. There will be a VFW service Monday evening at 7p.m.
Funeral: Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill., with Msgr. Marvin Volk, officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Ill.
