Frederick Lee Easter's Obituary
Frederick Lee Easter, 76 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on October 16, 2017, at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born January 4, 1941, in Des Moines, IA. He was married to Dorothy, nee Light, Easter, who survives him. They were married September 22, 1995, in Red Bud, IL.
Fred was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for archery, hunting, fishing, and golf. He was very devoted to his family and friends. He was an electrician and member of IBEW Local 309. Fred had served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Columbia, IL.
Also surviving are his three daughters, Shirley (Jim) Tucker of Granger, IA, Toni (John Heintz) Easter of St. Louis, MO, Cari (Sean) Mahoney of Columbia, IL; a son, Loren (Maggie) Easter of Chatham, IL; step-daughter, Stephanie Sallman of Nashville, TN; step-son, Chris (Debbie) Sallman of Red Bud, IL; three half-brothers, Charles Hyslope of Norwalk, IA, Alfred (Mary) Hyslope of Albia, IA, and Mike Wilson of Des Moines, IA; half-sister, Cheryl (Allan) Blue of Altoona, IA; grandchildren, Barrett (Meggie) Tucker, Audrey (Stephen) Kahler, Maxwell (Elyse) Sallman, and Joshua Sallman; six great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy Harlow, and wife, Karen, nee Yung, Easter.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017.
