Frank Allen DeJarnette's Obituary
Frank Allen DeJarnette, 69 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at his residence. He was born December 23, 1952, in East St. Louis, IL.
Frank was a retired engineer from the Alton & Southern railroad with over 30 years of service. He was a huge donator to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Frank loved to fish, especially for blue gill, he enjoyed hunting, playing poker and hanging out at Judy's Corner. .
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Christine DeJarnette, nee Becherer, his son, Michael (Stephanie) DeJarnette, his daughter, Danielle (Mike) Deterding, his son, Joshua (Cathy) DeJarnette and his daughter, Heather Martin, his grandchildren, Payton DeJarnette, Kenny "Spaceship" Spisak, Kaden Mayberry, D.J. McInturff, Ian Marshall and Vincent Krost, his nephew, Matthew (Kate) DeJarnette, his great nephew, Mathew DeJarnette, his brother, Mark DeJarnette, his aunt, Kathy Castle, his special cousin, Paula Hottenrott, his special friend, Tommy Stark, along with nieces, nephews, other cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis W. and Evelyn, nee Castle, DeJarnette, his brother, Matthew DeJarnette and his granddaughter, Madison DeJarnette.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Jim Jarvis, officiating. Interment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 . Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home.
