Frank Lee Bowen's Obituary
Frank Lee Bowen, 79 years, of Freeburg, IL, passed away on January 13, 2020 at Integrity Health Care of Columbia, Columbia, IL. He was born October 3, 1940, in East St. Louis, IL. He was married to Earlene, nee Gross, Bowen, who survives him. They were married on June 11, 1960 in East St. Louis, IL.
Frank had retired from the Alton & Southern Railroad, after 40 years of service. He was a member of the French Village Volunteer Fire Department, Belleville Moose Lodge 1221, Smithton Lions Club, and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working, and most especially his grandchildren.
Also surviving are his daughters, Candace Krausz of Freeburg, IL, and Cynthia (Willy Wordon) Coughlin of Baldwin, IL; grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Pelch, Mindy (David) Vielweber, Heather (Aaron) Beccue, Paige (Alex) Pellmann; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Aurora, Reese, Arlo, Ayla, Liliana, Jace, Andrew, and Tessa; sister, Maryellen (Don) Moeser of St. Louis, MO; brother-in-law, Earl Gross, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank E. and Mary, nee Eschman, Bowen; brother, John Bowen; mother and father-in-law, Earl and Etta Gross.
Frank's wishes were to be cremated. There will be no public services.
