Frank W. Boo's Obituary
Frank W. Boo, 95 years of Columbia, IL, passed away at Columbia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Columbia, IL. He was born in Waterloo, IL, son of the late Fredrich and Celesta (Jehling) Boo. He was married to the late Leona (Offermann) Boo. They were married September 1, 1940, in Yuma, AZ. She had passed away October 29, 2008.
Frank served in the U.S. Navy from 1937 to 1957, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. His tours of duty included serving as senior yeoman to Admiral Frank Fletcher aboard the USS Yorktown, CV5 and the USS Saratoga, CV3, during the Naval battles of Coral Sea, Midway and Guadalcanal. He was a Veteran of WW II and the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 581, Columbia, IL.

Ron Chase, officiating Mr. Boo was cremated according to his wishes.
