Frances Blanche Rowton's Obituary
Frances B. Rowton, 90 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on December 20, 2017 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. She was born February 19, 1927, in DuQuoin, IL, daughter of the late Caric and Lizzy, nee Hancock, Goddard. She was married to the late James B. Rowton, Sr. They were married September 12, 1942, in Miami Beach, FL. He had passed away June 29, 2011.
Frances was a charter member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Columbia, IL.
Surviving are her children, James B. (Mary) Rowton Jr. of East Carondelet, IL, Sharon Gotto of Waterloo, IL, Pamela (William) Allen of Columbia, IL, Jeanne (Arthur) Crandell of Pevely, MO, Kim (Susan) Rowton of Port St. Lucie, FL, Constance (Jeffrey) Squires of Edwardsville, IL, and Carrie (David) Grove of Festus, MO; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Arthur C. Goddard, and sister, Sharon L. Cornejo.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Allynn Walker, officiating. Interment will follow cremation in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
