Floyd Ernest Hale Jr.'s Obituary
Floyd Ernest Hale Jr., 77, of Dupo, IL, passed away on December 5, 2023 in Dupo, IL. He was born March 17, 1946, in Cahokia, IL.
Floyd was a former Post Commander and member of the American Legion Post 444. When he wasn't working he enjoyed playing poker and other card games, collecting beer steins, going bowling after working at the Ford Plant, pitching horseshoes with his family and friends, woodworking and working on vehicles in his garage.
He is survived by his brother, John Hale, his three children, Thomas (Angel) Van Berkel, Daniel (Erin) Hale, and Angela (Tim) Stumpf, his twelve grandchildren, Patrick Lindsay, Samantha (Elijah) Skinner, Daniel (Crystal) Hale II, Victoria Hale, Alex Hale, Isabella Hale, Charleena Hale, Corwyn Hale, Lillianna Hale, Gabriella Hale, Austin (Demi) Stumpf, and Dalton Stumpf, his four great-grandchildren, Daniel Hale III, Gracelyn Skinner, Ronan Skinner, and Brayden Stumpf, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Ernest Hale, Sr., his mother, Lorraine Florence Hale, his wife, Rosemary Ann Hale, and his sister, Sharon Lawrence.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2023, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home - Dupo, IL. Services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 12:30 with a few words of remembrance and then proceeding in a procession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a 1:30 pm Military Service. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to American Legion Post 444, 17090 Old Jamestown Rd, Florissant, MO 63034.
