Florence was preceded in death by her parents: John & Frieda, nee wolf, Van Buren, her brother-in-law: Earl Veit, & sisters-in-law: Hilda Veit & Helen Van Buren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 60 years and care giver since 1952: Melvin Veit, whom she married November 18, 1951 in Millstadt, IL., her loving children & caregivers: Ricky & Chris Veit, Sharon & Rick Cromwell & Randy & Linda Veit, her 4 loving grandchildren & caregivers: Michelle, Megan, & Andrew Veit and Coleman Cromwell, her siblings & caregivers: Esther & Herman Koldehoff, Norman & LaVerne Van Buren, Harvey Van Buren. she is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Florence was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL., Zion WomenÆs Fellowship, St. Clair County Farm Bureau, Sister Cities Porta Westfalica of Waterloo and was Millstadt March of Dime Chairman for many years. She enjoyed embroidering, baking cookies with her grandchildren, crossword puzzles & jigsaw puzzles, loved tea parties, flowers & birds. Memorials may be made to March of Dimes or Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL.
