Farreol S. Koester's Obituary
Farreol S. Koester, nee Scherle, 91, of Evansville, IL, passed away on May 1, 2017 at DePaul Health Center, St. Louis, MO. She was born January 16, 1926, in Evansville, IL.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Bud, IL.
She loved to travel, sew, upholster things, quilting, farming and spending time with friends & family.
Surviving are her daughters, Shelby (Greg) Wetzel & Rochelle (Neil) Koenig, her grandchildren, Keely Wetzel, Kyle & Kelsey Koenig, her great grandchild, Gabriella Martinez & her sisters, Pearl Liefer & Mildred (Walter) Wittenauer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Herbert Koester, her parents, Peter & Florence, nee Ling, Scherle, her b1rothers in infancy, Byron & Vernon Scherle, her brother, Melvin Scherle & her grandchild, Daniel Wetzel.
Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL. and Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL., with Rev. Mark Nebel, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Bud, IL.
As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Bud, IL. or Alzheimer's Association..
