Dear David and Suzanne, please accept my deepest condolence at the passing of your brother, I know this is one of the worst times for you both, may he rest in peace. Your neighbor Bob.
Back about 35 years ago I worked at the Surplus store in Belleville. Lee would come in there all the time and talk my ear off. I always listened to his stories and was amazed at the things he has done. Throughout the past 35 years I would run across him and chat. He always remembered my birthday even know I told him when it was 35+ years before. I’d always see him at Steak N Shake and Shop N Save and he’d spot me and say hi. He will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace Lee.
We met Lee many years ago at St Augustine of Canterbury Church. He sought me out after I had shared my story of fighting bipolar disorder. I was immediately amazed by Lee's encyclopedic mind especially about military history, and his passion about everything. Lately I have wondered why I hadn't seen Lee around and mostly wrote it off to the pandemic. I'm deeply saddened by news of his passing, and I pray that God will grant Lee the peace he has earned in His heavenly kingdom. May God's healing grace be ever with Lee's family and friends. I know Lee's warrior spirit will have an everlasting impact in the fight against brain disorders. Godspeed, Lee.
Ive known Lee since I was 22. He would come to Subway on N Belt West and hang out with is while we worked at night. He loved him some cheese. He always made sure that we were all ok and got on our way home before he would go home.. He was very well known around Belleville.. He would always stop and talk to me and my family when he seen us at picnics or at the gas station. There will never be anyone that could ever take his place.. He was a Legend!!! He will be missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.
