I was assigned to Immaculate Conception in 1969 for a year. During that short time, I came to appreciate Gene as a foundational pillar of the parish/school. I also treasured his friendship, help, and service to me personally.
A good, honest, and loving man. A sense of humor, vision, and willingness to go the extra mile enable Gene be the good steward of the gospel.
Thank you, Gene, for your faithful service to parish, community, and to your family.
May you rest in peace!
May faith be your consolation as you mourn for Gene--a great man.
In my time at Immaculate Conception Church Gene Schorb was a constant source of wisdom, help and kindness to the church and school community. I am glad to have worked with him and share the sadness of those who will miss him. His many good works go with him.
