Eugene Alfred Kochmann's Obituary
Eugene A. Kochmann, 81, of Millstadt, Ill., born, October 21, 1932 in Stookey Township, Ill., passed away, Thursday October 2, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Eugene was retired from the Millstadt Ambulance Service after 33 years of dedication. He also served previously as the Rural Chief of the Millstadt Fire Department and was a U. S. Army Veteran during the Korean conflict.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lorene, nee Mueller, Kochmann, his first wife, Janette Kochmann and his step-son, Stephen Quirin.
Eugene is survived by his present wife Mary Lou Kochmann, nee Kneedler, his son, Rick (Jeannine) Kochmann of Millstadt, Ill., two step-daughters, Andrea Quirin and Renee (John) Hooser of Waterloo, Ill., a grandson, Ryan Kochmann, nine step-grandchildren, Christopher, Bryan & Alyssa Mueller, Jacob, Joshua, Jonah, Joseph, Jason and John Q. Hooser. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Millstadt Ambulance Service, Millstadt Community Center or Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m., and on Monday, October 6, 2014 an hour before the service at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill. There will be a Millstadt Fireman's walk through at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill., with Rev. Darrell Weber, officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois
