Esther Smith's Obituary
Esther Smith, 102 years of Collinsville, IL, formerly of Millstadt, IL,.passed away on February 8, 2018 at Belleville Memorial Hospital. She was born February 28, 1915, in Millstadt, IL.
Esther retired as a seamstress for the Fox Pants Factory in Belleville, IL. She loved ballroom dancing and sewing, was a member of the Belleville Moose Lodge and the Collinsville Senior Club.
Surviving are her two sons, James (Nancy Grace) Klotz, John (Georgia) Klotz, daughter-in-law, Edna (Bill) Ditch; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ella, nee Merkel, Pistor, daughter, Judy Klotz, twin brother Lester Pistor, two husbands, Walter Klotz and Oren Smith, grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, and Sarah Klotz and great-grandson, Jordan Gass.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL. and on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL., with Monsignor Marvin Volk, officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, IL.
