Erwin Robert Hofstetter's Obituary
Erwin Robert Hofstetter, 87, of Dupo, Ill., born December 17, 1936 passed away on April 26th, 2024 at Freeburg Care Center with family by his side.
Erwin was a retired 5th generation grain farmer. Erv loved many things including hunting, fishing, attending his grandkids sporting events, having breakfast at Dennys, and taking evening rides with his dogs Max and Sarah to watch the deer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Elvira Hofstetter, wife Helen Hofstetter to whom he was married 50 years, brother Herbert Hofstetter and sister Sharon Garfield.
He is survived by his sons, Eric (Shari) Hofstetter of East Carondelet, Ill. & Michael (Kelli) Hofstetter of Columbia, Ill., his grandchildren, Kelci & Kylie Hofstetter, Sean, Ryan & Brooke Hofstetter, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill.
Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, May 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill.
Interment will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
