Elvera A. Schuchert's Obituary
Elvera A. Schuchert, 99 years old, of Columbia, IL, passed away on January 1, 2021 at Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley, Fenton, MO. She was born September 22, 1921, in East Carondelet, IL. She was married to the late Earl C. Schuchert. They were married on November 30, 1946 in Columbia, IL. He passed away May 23, 1986.
Elvera was a dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda LaFata of Fenton, MO; grandsons, Chris LaFata of Eureka, MO, and Paul (Sarah) LaFata of Wentzville, MO; great-grandchildren, Cody and Steven LaFata, and Sophia LaFata; sister, Helen Mueller of Columbia, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Margaret A., nee Pap, Fischer; brothers, Walter and John Fischer; son-in-law, Steven J. LaFata.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2021, 9:30 am - 10:30 am, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 10:30 am at church, with Pastor Stephen Krenz officiating. Entombment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens Of Memory Mausoleum, Belleville, IL.
