Elvera Laverne Jones' Obituary
Elvera Laverne Jones, 97 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, IL. She was born December 22, 1928, in Modoc, IL.
Elvera was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud, IL. She was formerly on the St. Clement Hospital women's guild and was an avid maker of beaded Christmas tree skirts and Christmas stockings.
Surviving are her daughter, Reda (Dale) Guebert, her grandchildren, Kyle Guebert, Kalin (Jason) Guebert, Daniel Jones, Emily Jones and Nicholas Jones, her great-granddaughter, Ariella Guebert, and her sister, Jessie (LeRoy) Bievenue, along with nieces nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clemens "Buss" Jones, her son Charles Jones, her parents, Noble and Nettie Brown and numerous brothers & sisters.
Private family services will be held.
