Elmer K. Hanes' Obituary
Elmer K. Hanes Jr., 91 years old of Dupo, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, MO. He was born August 14, 1930, in Dupo, IL.
Elmer retired as a carman from the MOPAC Railroad. He was an United States Army Korean War Veteran. Elmer was a member of the First Congregational Church, Dupo, IL, Odd Fellows, Model Airplane club, Mon-Clair Flyers, and the Dupo Coin Club.
Survived by his relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father & mother, Elmer K. & Ruth Mae, nee Cooper, Hanes, Sr.
Graveside services will be on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Zoar United Church of Christ Cemetery in New Hanover, IL., with Pastor R.J. Morgan, officiating.
