Elmer is survived by his wife Debra Wetzel, nee Piel, his son, Jeremy (Jessica Fernandez) Piel, his daughter, Cortney Wetzel, his grandchildren, Haley, Steven, Ayden, Ashton and Jaice Piel, his parents, Raymond and Edna Wetzel, his brother, Edward Wetzel, his twin sister, Caroline (Bob) Simcoke and his grandmother, Viola Wetzel. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. Elmer was a garage door installer for Wal-Vern Products. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to them to help with hospital expenses.
