OBITUARY
Elmarie Ruth Wilson
Dupo- Elmarie Wilson, 95, of Dupo, died at 8:45 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at her home. Elmarie was born on April 4, 1925, in Columbia, IL to John and Louisa (Mosbacher) Corvey. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo. She worked eighteen years as a cutter for Midwest Curtain Factory. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and retired in 1985. Once retired, she spent time taking care of those in need and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved playing Bingo and was a talented seamstress.
Survivors include:
Daughter- Karen Rueda of Pearl River, LA
Daughter- Kathern Wiechert of Dupo, IL
Son- James Wilson and wife Michele of Hillsboro, MO
Daughter- Anita McLain and husband Kevin of Collinsville, IL
Daughter- Cheryl Bodkin of Granite City
Son- Steven Wilson and Carleen Albrecht of Dupo
14 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sons: Douglas and Richard Wilson, Grandsons: Paul James Wilson and David Bodkin; and Sisters: Antoinette Hopkins and Mary Ann Corvey.
The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo. Father Linus Umoren will officiate. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of mass, Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo.
