Ellis Zack was born in Belleville, IL. Son of the late Marshall and the late Edith, nee Lemmon, Zack Jr. He was the husband of Jessica, nee Villiger, Zack who survives him. They were married in Belleville, IL on October 18, 1969. Ellis was a retired airplane mechanic. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran, an avid bowler and fisherman.
