Ellen R. Soma, 85 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Bethesda Southgate Nsg. Ctr., St. Louis, MO. She was born in Ridgeway, IL, the daughter of the late Edward and Sallie (Mecum) Maloney. Rita was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL, where she was active with the quilters. She had worked at the Immaculate Conception School cafeteria for many years. She was married to the late John Soma. They were married on October 7, 1954 in St. Louis, MO. He passed away September 3, 1999.
