Ellen K. Killingsworth's Obituary
Ellen K. Killingsworth, 87 years, of Columbia, Illinois, passed away on October 20th, 2023 in Columbia, Illinois. She was born June 10th, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri to Alvin and Ella (Schmidt) Korves.
She married her husband, Merrill Killingsworth on April 6th, 1957 in Columbia, Illinois. Ellen loved the Cardinals and worked as a receptionist at a senior nutritional site.
Surviving are her sons; Brian (Robin) Killingsworth and Wayne (Pat) Killingsworth, daughter, Carol Craig, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Alvin and Ella Korves, husband, Merrill Killingsworth, grandson, Gary Gress, and niece, Janice Killingsworth.
Visitation will be Monday, October 23rd, 2023 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Columbia, Illinois. Services will be held Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Jim Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery in Columbia, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to: Helping Strays of Monroe County, 4221 Hanover Road, Columbia, IL 62236.
