Ellavee Pulcher's Obituary
Ellavee T. Pulcher, 90 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on November 10, 2025, at Bria of Columbia, Columbia, IL. She was born March 2, 1935, in Broseley, MO. to the late Ernest and Bertha, nee Shackleford, Rice.
Ellavee was a home maker and stay at home mom. She worked hard to make their house a home and that is where she enjoyed being at most of the time. Usually you would find her in the kitchen cooking, baking or making a pot of coffee. Most evenings there would be a full house of family, neighbors or friends playing games, visiting and, of course, having her cake and coffee.
Surviving are daughters; Rhonda Little, of South County, MO, Charlotte Mehrtens, of Millstadt, IL, and Jane Washausen (Leroy) of Waterloo, IL, son, Sherman Dean Pulcher, of Merced, CA, brothers; Alvin Rice, of Waterloo, IL, and Joy Rice, of De Soto, MO, along with 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Pulcher, daughters; Verna Joyce Wright, Diana Pulcher and Yvonne Henson, sons-in-law; Larry Little, Don Mehrtens and Rick Henson and two grandchildren; Scott and Jessica.
Visitation will be Friday, November14, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm at Leesman Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Services will be at 2 pm after the visitation, with Pastor Stephen Krenz. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the family for a charity of their choice or to the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Columbia IL.
