Elizabeth Louisa "Betty" Lehr's Obituary
Elizabeth L. 'Betty' Lehr, 87 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on January 4, 2018. She was born January 5, 1930, in Freeburg, IL, daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth, nee Bachinger, Stauder. She was married to the late Herbert P. Lehr. He had passed away December 8, 1990.
Betty was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL where she was active with the Altar Sodality and the Quilters, American Legion Post 581 Auxiliary, and the Columbia Gymnastic Association. Betty also enjoyed bowling and card playing.
Surviving are two daughters, Vivian (Michael) Budde of Columbia, IL, and Yvonne (Stephen) Sendejas of Belleville, IL; son, Alan (Carol) Lehr of Belleville, IL; two sisters, Eleanor Blackburn of St. Louis, MO, and Mary Ann Evans of Essex Junction, VT; 7 grandchildren, Greg Budde, Jeff (Laura) Budde, David Sendejas, Elizabeth (Chris) Dahm, Philip (Cathy) Lehr, Alana Lehr and Blake Lehr; 8 great-grandchildren, Justin, Cole, Kyle, Jaylan, Aiden, Eliza, Madison, and Carson, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Paul Stauder, and sister, Virginia Stauder.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2018, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. and Friday, January 12, 2018, 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held following visitation at 10:00 am at church, with Fr. Chris Reuter, officiating. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
