Elizabeth Harris' Obituary
Elizabeth Harris, 98 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on December 23, 2021 at Reflections at Garden Place, Columbia, IL. She was born January 20, 1923, in Weakley County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Eva, nee McGuire, Parham.
Elizabeth had retired from Obear-Nester Bottling Co. of East St. Louis, IL. She had been married to Paul William Gills and they had one son, Paul Edward Gills, who preceded her in death. Paul Edward was never able to see his father, who had given his life for his country during WW II when Paul Edward was only 3 months old. She later married J. W. Harris, who also precedes her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (Lester Matthews) Bolle; granddaughter, Christy (Scott) Middelkamp; grandson, Rodney S. Bolle; granddaughter, Kelly (Randy) Faulkner; grandson, Paul W. Gills; granddaughter, Jaclyn (Eric) Baumann; great-grandchildren, Jordyn (Brendan) Schumacher, Jacob Amos, Shane Bolle, Bailee Faulkner, Colton and Anya Baumann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Harris; son, Paul E. Gills; brothers, H. M. Parham and Charlie Parham; sisters, Estella Ray, Mildred Parham, Eileen Parham, and Gladys Moore.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 12 noon at Highland Park Cemetery, Mayfield, KY.
