Edward C. Starr's Obituary
Edward C. Starr, 86 yrs., of Cahokia, Illinois, passed away at St. Clare Health Care Center, Fenton, MO. He was born in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late James and Adeline, nee Martin, Starr. He was married to the late Ruby Jane, nee Dowell, Starr. She passed away February 17, 2006. Edward had worked as an iron worker at Granite City Steel and was a member of the Chemical Workers Local #50, Granite City, IL. In his earlier years, he became a self-taught musician as he loved to sing, play the saxophone and recorder. It seemed to come natural for him with his family background having such ties to the music industry. His entire family were blessed with the gift of music as well. They were all quite accomplished musicians. He was a unique individual and the patriarch of his beloved family. He was dearly loved and will be missed by everyone.
