Edith B. Otten's Obituary
Edith B., nee Menzel, Otten, 92 years, of St. Libory, IL, and formerly of Cahokia, IL, passed away on June 21, 2019 at Woodland Manor Care Center, Arnold, MO. She was born February 1, 1927, in St. Charles, MO, daughter of the late William H. and Helen, nee Richardt, Menzel. She was married to the late Harvey G. Otten. They were married March 9, 1979, in Belleville, IL.
Edith had been a member of the American Legion Aux., Post 683, St. Libory, IL, and the V.F.W. Aux. She was retired from U.S. Fidelity & Guarantee, St. Louis, MO. Her favorite past-times were dancing and going fishing, and she was a loyal member of St. Louis Cardinal Nation.
Surviving are her three daughters, Kathy (Michael) Burke of Columbia, IL, Mary Price of St. Louis, MO, and Pat (Don) Greer of Florissant, MO; two sons, Norman (Tammy) Taylor of Dupo, IL, and Michael Taylor of Lake St. Louis, MO; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Taylor, along with numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 26, at Lawlor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
