I will always rememeber Mrs. Dean not only as a kind person and teacher but as one who expected the most out of you. It was of great pleasure that I got to see and talk wtih her again at our 50th Class Union.
Lovely lady and wonderful teacher.
Words cannot express the role Mrs. Dean played in my life. She was one of the main people who shaped me besides my family. She might look back on that wonder what in the heck went wrong!!! :)
I am glad that I pursued my relationship with her, even after she left Fulton. We have had many happy memories to share, despite the fact that we no longer lived in close proximity.
If Debbie, or any other family member, would like to read all the Facebook comments that have been made about her on my page, please feel free to "friend" me on Facebook, and you can gladly see all the wonderful things that have been written about her to me.
My sympathy to Mrs. Dean's family. I, too, have lost someone very special.
If one could be cloned, I'd put Edith at the top of the list.
Warm, Friendly, Inspiring, Energetic, Prepared (coat & umbrella in hand on daily walks).
I admired her dedication to the City. She was almost too nice to be involved in City Politics, but handled it all so gracefully and always had positive things to say.
She will truly be missed.
We offer our sincere condolences to Edith's family. If a person can live his life and make a positive difference in the life of another, then one can say his life was worthwhile. Edith's life was worthwhile and she influenced more lives in a positive manner than she knows. It was a job well done. It was our privilege to have been her colleagues.

Mrs. Dean was a wonderful teacher. I fondly remember acting out Caesar's death scene and studying our Word Power book (ous = full of). I know her memory lives on in the thousands of lives she touched over the years.
Mrs. Dean was one of those teachers that just by her presence demanded respect. As one of the students that had the priviledge to have Ms. Dean as an English teacher, I would like to make it known that you had an impact on my life in a positive way. You have been in my heart for the past 15 years and will continue to hold a place dear to my heart. Thank you!
Sorry to learn of Ms. Deans death. She was one classy lady and a gifted teacher. No doubt I am among the many who has benefited from the good fortune of being one of her students at FHS. My deepest sympathies to the family. God bless.
