Earline M Pankey's Obituary
Earline M. Pankey, nee Kent, 93, of Dupo, Ill., born, November 10, 1921 in Dupo, Ill., passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Columbia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Columbia, Ill.
Mrs. Pankey was a homemaker. She belonged to Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill., Rob Morris Chapter 98 (formerly Monroe Chapter #597) of the Eastern Star, where she was a 45 year member and past Matron in 1984 and 1994, a 60 year member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #485 and the Columbia Senior Citizens.
Earline & Jay enjoyed a great life together, had many friends and were always so proud of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan, Maureen and Loren are very thankful to of had them as loving parents, but know that Mom and Dad will be having great times together again in heaven.
Mrs. Pankey was preceded death by her husband, Jay Pankey, whom she married in 1942 and who passed away November 22, 1993, her parents, Earl Marion & Mamie, nee Schwartz, Kent, her brothers, Carl Kent, Robert L. Kent, and her sisters & brothers-in-law, Mabel (Farrol) McPheeters, Patsy Stevens, Irene Pankey, Merritt Pankey, Vernon Pankey, Naydyne Cole, Betty Montgomery, Charley Panky, Loren Pankey.
She is survived by her two daughters, Joan (George) Touchette of Columbia, Ill. & Maureen (Drew) Loless of Waterloo, Ill., her son, Loren (Tina) Pankey of Waterloo, Ill., her grandchildren, Darren (Lori) Touchette of Millstadt, Ill., Dana (Tom) Zimmerman of St. Louis, MO., Denise (Glen) Crump of Waterloo, Ill., DeAnn Touchette of Columbia, Ill., April (Trace) Walls of Waterloo, Ill., Lynette Hamid and J.R. (Lauren) Jones of Waterloo, Ill., her great grandchildren, Jayden Touchette, Luke, Reid & Shae Zimmermann, Sarah & Dylan Crump, , Kyle Walls, Henry & Penny Jones, Cailyn, T.J. & Cami Hamid, her sister-in-law, Marilyn Kent of Albuquerque, N.M. She is also survived by other relatives & friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN., or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., and on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 an hour before the service at the church.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill., Rev. Matt Friz, officiating.
Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
