Earl was preceded in death by his wife: Hilda Anna, nee Blank, Veit and his parents: Alvin C. and Ella, nee Gruenewald, Veit. He is survived by his brother: Melvin (Florence) Veit of Millstadt, IL., his step-daughter: Betty (Ron) Szewczuk, step-son: Ron Mergelkamp, 2 nephews, 2 nieces and other relatives and friends. Earl was a retired farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, IL., St. Clair County Farm Bureau and he loved his animals. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to Oak Hill Care Center.
